GATES
| Hardly anyone ventures to the north. It is the second least populated place on the map. In addition to the difficult movement and isolation from the world, the cause is severe winter, which lasts all year round there. The highest mountains, the only glaciers in Althrun situated above the desert of snow and ice, where in between is the most guarded place in Althrun - the north patrol. (the closest possible approach is the tourist lift to the top next to it, where in good weather conditions you can [rarely] see part of the building. The building is manned by snipers one kilometer away, who even watch this vantage point). There are numerous forests below, and as you drive from the north to the south of the island, you encounter villages more and more often. One of the largest is the Saggen village, known for its best shooters (hence the name, from Sagittarius) and is a major food export. There are no cities in Gates and there is only one street connecting the villages.
